Our new location presents the opportunity to expand our services and improve our facilities. But we need your help to reach that goal.
The Need
Equine-assisted therapy has an incredibly unique healing power. Since Agape first opened its doors in 1986, we’ve helped improve the physical and mental wellbeing of over 50,000 individuals through the healing nature of horses. But with growing demand and a current waitlist of over 70 people, there is a clear need for expanded services.
There is a growing need to provide physical, mental, and emotional support for individuals in the Central Indiana community. A sizable portion of our population is reported to have a disability (25,439 residents in Hamilton County, 23,041 in Madison County, and 125,518 in Marion County*), and mental health concerns are increasing at an alarming rate. Following the pandemic, the CDC released a study that indicated 30 percent of Americans were showing symptoms of anxiety and depression, 13 percent were using drugs and alcohol to cope with stress, and 10 percent had seriously considered suicide.

Moving Forward
Our Cicero facility, perfect for a young organization in 1994, no longer meets the needs for one of the country’s leading therapeutic riding centers. It has only four acres available for horse care, a single heated indoor arena, limited office and storage space, and no adequate hay or equipment storage. While the programming remains state-of-the-art, the facilities make growth to accommodate the community’s demand for services nearly impossible.
The Potential
Our new location at Stonycreek Farm in Noblesville presents an opportunity for Agape to preserve a beloved agricultural area while also expanding our capabilities to better serve the community. With a large administrative building, two riding arenas, and dedicated outdoor riding spaces, the new facility will fuel expanded operations, increasing the number of individuals Agape serves each year by at least 50 percent with the potential to eventually triple our current numbers.
