Gypsy Dreamin’

Did you know Agape is competing to win one of 10 Gypsy Vanner horses?  LexLin Gypsy Ranch, based in eastern Tennessee, has partnered with PATH International to provide 10 Gypsy horses to 10 PATH centers around the country through their Gypsy Gift program.  Much to our excitement, Agape was nominated and selected to compete!

The LexLin Gypsy Ranch page describes Gypsy horses as follows:

“For hundreds of years, nomadic people known as Gypsies have traveled the roads of the United Kingdom in beautifully carved and decorated living wagons.  To maintain this wandering way of life, they created an extraordinary breed of horse with enough endurance and strength to pull a heavy wagon all day, the ability to thrive on whatever grazing it could find on the side of the road, and an extremely calm temperament.  After hundreds of years of selective breeding, the result is a beautiful, powerful and supremely gentle animal- the Gypsy horse.”

Winning a Gypsy horse would be such a blessing for Agape.  There is currently one draft horse at each Agape location.  With an increase in riders requiring larger horses, our two drafts could use some extra help.  The opportunity to win a small draft horse is exciting!  If Agape were to win one of these beautiful horses, it would have such a positive impact on our programming.  It would allow us to provide more lessons to more riders, ultimately reaching more students where they’re at with unbridled hope.  Don’t you want to see a Gypsy Vanner horse at Agape?

In order to win one of the 10 prize horses, we must receive enough votes to be in the top 10 of all centers competing.  We cannot do this without your help.

So here’s how you can help.

  • Voting is done through the LexLin Gypsy Ranch’s Facebook page, and can also be accessed using the following URL: www.gypsygift.pgtb.me/jsGLMS.
  • Vote for Agape once every 24 hours until August 31 by clicking the check box next to our name and picture.
  • Share with your friends on Facebook!
  • Take some of the information flyers from the observation room to share with your friends and family.

We would be so grateful if you would take a few seconds out of each day until August 31 to help fill a big need at Agape!
