On December 13th, we hosted our annual Christmas celebration for our Agape families and volunteers. It was a great way to unite our families, volunteer and staff members to come together and celebrate!
The night kicked off with a visit from Santa riding in on a carriage led by his faithful “mini” reindeer (a.k.a Darby). Santa was also accompanied by his helper , Buddy the elf! Santa rode into the arena and handed out gifts to all of the kids that attended the party.
While Santa was visiting with the kids, everyone had the opportunity to try desserts that were made by the Agape staff. Each dessert was to be judged on best looking dessert and best tasting dessert. Creativity varied from a tree of cake pops to store bought cupcakes (cough “Jenny Easterday” cough). Jerry Miller won the best tasting dessert with the cake he made and Rachel took home the gold for best looking dessert with her creation of Christmas Tree Forest made of ice cream cones.
Once everyone had an opportunity to judge the desserts and meet with Santa, everyone rallied into the arena to watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, where we closed the night. Agape was happy to celebrate 2013 with the wonderful people that made it all happen!
